This is excellent advice. When one of mine started this annoying habit AND started teaching it to another-! I started going out every hour to gather eggs. That's how I caught her in the act and practically scared her right out of her bloomers! And incidentally, neither she nor her apprentice did it EVER AGAIN!!!I would also suggest isolation for the biggest offenders. Also are they eating the whole egg or just the shell and leaving the rest. If eating the shell then they have a calcium deficiency, and are craving the shells. Last I would start picking up eggs on a more regular schedule. If they do not see them they can not eat them. After a while hopefully they will forget about eating eggs. Good luck.
