Chickens eating wheat grass sprouts

I will let my flock free-range thrice a week. So i planned to sprout wheats for them. But as the sprouts are 2-3 inch long my chickens started eating them whole and even the roots. Is it anything to worry?

They'll be fine with whole sprouts. Chickens really love clovers and sprouting grass also.
