I will look into this as I didn’t even think of this. Unfortunately I can’t do this for this chicken but I will be better prepared in the future.So sorry that your hen died? Do you think that you could send her body into the state vet for a necropsy, or could you try to do a necropsy yourself to look for what the problem was? When doing a home necropsy, it is good to take pictures of the abdominal organs to look for egg binding or internal laying, and cancer. Clear pictures of the liver, intestines, and oviduct can be posted her. Here is a link for contacting your atate vet for a necropsy, and another of a necropsy to help identify the organs:
