Chickens eye watering

This little lady is 3 mo old. She came to us with a watery eye. I’ve been putting antibiotic ointment in it off and on. Now her face on that side only is very red. Does anyone have any feedback or info on how
To help her?

A bubbly eye with crusty eye drainage can be a sign of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) which is one of several chronic respiratory diseases. It stays with a chicken for life and makes them carriers, even when symptoms improve. They get it from carriers and occasionally from wild birds using feeders and waterers. It can be spread through hatching eggs as well. Are you keeping her in quarantine from your other birds? Tylan 50 injectable given orally, or the generic tylosin powder in the water can be given to treat symptoms. There are a few other antibiotics used as well.
