My chickens first egg.! I don't know if it came from the barred rock or Easter egger but they are both under 20 weeks old.!

Yay! So exciting! Easter eggers typically lay light blue/green tinted eggs :) And from what I remember they started a little later than the rest of our flock.

Congrats!

What's the big egg?

Onset of lay is normally between 18-24 weeks for most breeds.
EE's can lay any color egg.

The bigger egg is a store bought egg.
Is it normal for chickens to lay twice a day.?! My chicken laid her first egg yesterday, and today she layed two.!

Quote: Sometimes new layers will lay two in one day, often one of them is a softshell, I've had it happen a few times.
Shouldn't happen after the first month or so, once things are tuned up..
