expecting our oldest chook to lay very soon and then I found 5 eggs! One was also a double yolker!

Gd91 some breeds will wait the winter out before laying. You can have a light on in their coop to stimulate laying.

I know, I finally gave in 3 nights ago & installed lighting in all our sheds ON TOP of the usual housework, gardening & animal care

In my home, I'm the cleaner, washer-woman, gardener & DIY specialist, dog catcher

as for DH, um, well, I think he goes to work, but that's about it

My garden is like a warzone from all these animals & bad weather

my quail laid after I added light, but the chickens....... Nah.....
