Much more so, I am feeding everyone ff and noticed I am giving them more than ever---oops yeah, twenty some chicks are getting bigger and front and center to get their share....I am keeping better receipts but mostly guess by watching who stays around longest....of course there is that ton of horse manure they are busy with....hey! My headache is gone...:)

. Abbreviations. I despise them. CX, ff. I am completely clueless, making both posts useless to me. Help?

I had an old EE hen chuck chucking for at least 30 minutes all around the coop. In and out of nests. Waddling like a penguin and low to ground. She finally laid a double size egg, and she and her two other EE hen buddies lay XLs already. She just laid it right there on the rocks in the coop. It was just luck someone was home and watched all this. This is not her ordinary behavior though. They've been laying in the nests quite well. Any ideas on what might cause this? Is it normal occasionally? Is this what's meant by egg-bound?

Tell us what you are feeding. Type or brand? Protein content? Amount of feed provided?
