Not me, Galanie....first I'd give poor Al a shirt of my own, make him put it on.... and THEN tell him to get up and go mow the grass!![]()
I can agree for the most part...BUT...if you spend some time going through old death certificates, it's an eye opener to the "good old days" TB ran rampid not just in the big cities, typhiod etc etc etc. The one that gets me the most is the death of a 4 year old relative (late 1890's) who contracted solmenela from eating wild parsnips. A wee pit of prudenece is not out of order these days with all kinds of weird bugs developing from over use of antibiotics. But paranoia isn't called for either. Kids can't play outside these days or they are being "neglected" etc. etc. A certain amount of dirt is a good thing! I'd rather eat unwashed eggs than a lot of other crap that's offered in neat sterilized packaging.I would also explain to her how exactly did people survive back before they had refridgerators, did they not eat eggs at all or meat or milk ?? see what she say's then. Oh yeah that's right they had a walmart super store on Waltons mountain...... sheeees LOL.
Egggzactly. Who knows how many gooder bugs we carry kill bader bugs we come in contact with as well...and on that note, think I'll have some garden fresh cucumber with a splash of ACV over it for a snack. ...what's good for the chickens.....If you spend time going through death certificates now you would find the same dire readings....4 yr. olds dying of e.coli from a fast food burger, etc. As we living folks rarely concern ourselves with the cause of those who die down through history, we tend to concentrate on the quality of that life, rather than the quantity.
We are all dying on a daily basis, cell by cell...but trying to prevent that action by exercising prudence about fresh eggs out of your backyard is like gagging on a gnat and swallowing a mule if you don't also disinfecting every surface you touch when you go out in public. Think of how layer upon layer of horrible pathogens are on every shopping cart, restroom door handle, door handle, bus seat, etc.
