I no longer have emoticons or spell check on this site. Is there something I can do to get it back? I'm running IE. My html codes are very rusty, haven't used them for several years and without typing the html codes my posts are all ran together without paragraph breaks.
That happened to some people a week ago when there was a server update, they had to clean out their browser caches to get it working. There is a thread in the website forum and feedback section about it.

Perhaps that has happened again, I would go look there to see if there is new info but I'm out in the garden with the chooks, having a garden party, and my wifi is real weak- it would take too long to load that section and then come back here to report about it.

Anyway, try a browser cache cleaning.

Oops, one of the chooks found something, the others are all jumping all over her to try to see what it is and steal it, now they are stampeding around chasing her..

I have ruined a perfectly good dog. As DH travels a lot, I thought I wanted a "companion" dog. It didn't take me long to see that she wasn't nearly as happy as the "yard" dogs we had on the farm. So, I started letting her stay in the yard while I'm at work and she is MUCH happier. As it turns out, this lab something mix I got from the shelter seems to be turning into a pretty good mutt. She's only 7 months old now, and hasn't had the proper LSG training, so it's not like she' super dog. But, when she hears the chooks give that "something's not right" call, she comes running, hackles up and ready to fight. I don't know what she'd do if there were an actual predator, but it would be nice to see.

Anyway, I say I have ruined her because since she's always slept inside, she doesn't want to sleep outside.......any OT suggestions???

(Sorry to put a dog question here, I have just come to trust the OTs so much!!!

Oh, but you are.

Rich, that is.

There..you get one of the few hugs passed out on this thread by an OT. They are rare and precious stones, I can tell ya!

off topic....behind on this thread's reading....again.

OK, Beekissed. Talking FF "colander-sized holes" doesn't tell me a dern thing. I have colanders with holes from less than 1/8th inch right up to over 1/4 inch. So....you got a ruler with mm reading? You know...for us OCD-ers.

Oh, Hon....ya gotta loosen' up and live a little! It's a plastic bucket and you can't mess it up...just punch some darn holes in the thing and get er' done! That's how I do all things....hardly ever measure a thing, just start drilling, hacking, sawing, and pounding until something is usable. Put that OCD in the trash where it belongs....I have a touch of it too but my kids trained it right on out of me. I've been much happier since then....

I was trying to think of the perfect gift for Beekissed, one that she would really like, and I think this is perfect. What do you think?

If you could only see my coop right now you would all fall down laughing...I simply have the biggest redneck coop in the world right now. You've seen my hoop coop and it looks all lovely in the summer...but it requires a little wind blockage for winter use and I haven't gotten my hay bales and plastic onto it yet. Right now it has three discarded storm windows in strategic places to block the wind...one held on with bungee cord and rope. It has the bottom out of a dog crate blocking another place of windy access, it has a blue tarp stretched out the back that loops over the dog house to block the wind into the pop door and a big log anchoring one corner of that tarp.

The Ol' Bat took a laughing fit when she saw it and said she was definitely taking a picture of it...should enter it into the redneck coops contest. Just you wait until I get my hay delivery and the plastic installed...it will look....well...um...it will look a bit better. At least, better than it looks right now.

Hey, at least it will be warm and cozy then....

My sister and I were confirmed, dyed in the wool bean haters from the get go. Well, in a poor family of nine children, beans are what's fer supper more often than not. You know what we were told? "Take it or leave it!"...but we were never really given the option to actually "leave it".

We were forced to sit at that table, in front of beans that had long ago turned cold and mealy, and were to sit there until we finished them. If I gagged when trying to choke them down, I was told, "If you puke, you will eat that too."

I ate the beans. Still hate them to this day but I sure 'nuff ate them then.
Same thing with me - only potatoes. My Dad would make me sit at the table until I finished them. Sometimes after supper he would go down to his workshop. My Mom probably wanted to get dishes done and didn't want me gathering dust, so she told me to leave the table. Even long into adulthood, I could not eat potatoes! Scarred for life, lol.....

my wifi warmed up, I was able to make it to the feedback section and back. Nifty posted this:

There is currently a problem only with Internet Explorer, they are trying to track it down, in that post he asks you to try something and let them know if it works.

Thank you!
I guess I'm going to download FF or Chrome so it will work all of the time for me. By the time I fiddle with adding the html code and post it, my posts are tardy and out of the convo, or I sound like I'm repeating what others just said.

Oh...how.....sweet   of you....  :th That ol' thang??  I wouldn't let old Jake live in that pitiful setup.  :tongue

Bee, you trained me well. The first thing I thought when I looked at it was, "It's a dollhouse -- no real chicken would be happy in that thing."

The second was, "OMG the things Bee could do with a hundred thousand dollars -- bet she'd spend every penny helping others and love doing it -- she would help so many, many people!"

You know me well.....

Think of how much food, clothing and shelter that would buy some people out there. What a horrible tragedy that we live in a world that even has a chicken house that is supposedly being sold for $100K and we have hungry children and people who are cold on the streets. Who in the world could ever justify such a thing? Makes me wanna cry....
