Mine weren't....of course, I've never had a bird peck at another bird's wounds in any of my flocks...maybe because they have so much more appealing things to peck at out on forage? Not sure.

All they can is try it and see. From what I've seen the yellow of the NS kind of blends all the colors of the skin until it all looks the same~looks just like old-timey school chalk, so it probably does have some camouflage capabilities when it comes to wounds.

It has been a really long time since I last used Blu Kote - but I was wondering whether it would interact in any way with the Nu Stock. The reason I ask is, if the questioner used Nu Stock and the others did pick at it, could the Blu Kote be applied over the Nu Stock? Last time I used it was almost 40 years ago on a horse, and it seems like we were trying to keep a wound dry with it while encouraging healing.

The wife is doing well thank you folks for asking, the doc said it was good that I brought her back in that soon. No lasting damage from the dog incident. I have been concentrating on my business to keep my mind off the loss, I guess it will sink in one of these day's soon then I'll get mad LOL. Maybe after the storm settles if it's bad enough I may grab a few of my crews and head up north to see if we can help with any rebuilding, and make some of dat good Fema Gobment cash. I still have 4 of those Fema trailers from when I went down to do Katrina recovery, they let me have them after 18 mo of living in them near New Orleans LOL. Work is good for the soul.
