We're simply too poor to cut our oats with steel, but do a passable smashing of oats with galvanized aluminum. Hey, ya use what ya have when you don't have money.

Hot fermented cider maybe....

Chicken little version of Lil Red Riding Hood- what a big pecker you have...... The better to peck you with you old creep! Don't think you'll get to use them spurs on me neither!

Dang! Gotta go play the piano now, Bee quoted a tune!

You would be too if it happened to you!
Oh my wizard. Youre gonna give car guys a bad name. 4H mommas are gonna come knocking and give you a what for, besides don't you know you better watch out cause Santa Clause is coming to town? By the way, are you going to dress up your chickens as elves again this year? Photo shoot with the garden gnomes and that cement goose, you know, the one with the feather in her hat?

lol. I always thought steel cut meant using a knife. I always wondered why anyone would cut their oats....seemed like a difficult step in the process of adding hot water to a small brown bag of maple syrup flavored oat meal. lol. Tried it once though. Didnt notice a difference.

I think I'm gonna go play some Janice for the chickens.

Bruce, how are you doing up there in PA? Anyone else in the path of the storm still here and functioning with chickens whole and intact?

My crazy birds wouldn't move from the coop yesterday during the rain but are still out in the snow like it's spring weather...what are they finding out there???

Well the high winds brought down most of the leaves and my chickens have been out digging around in the leaves looking for bugs that maybe hiding in them, I guess.

I found some ACV with Mothers at Nature time in Syracuse . Do you have a Nature time near you ?

My wife found it at the local Hannaford (I think) yesterday. She said it wasn't cheap (I didn't ask for specifics

) but since you only use 1 TBSP per gallon, she got a small bottle. Haven't put it in yet. The girls don't seem to drink all that much. Maybe they will drink more when there is no grass outside though.
