My name is Kimi, I started getting chickens in 2008 and I do not regret my choice. Chickens are so much fun to watch, raise, name and just have forever!! I have 16 chickens and may end up with 20 soon!! Long funny story!! I’ll tell you sometime. My ladies are Americaunas, Marans, Bard Rocks, Silver Cochins and soon to be, I hope, Cream Legbars and Easter Eggers! I realize I need a new and improved chicken run and have been looking for plans that are inexpensive and easy to medium build.
I have a Goldendoodle, Sheldon Cooper, who thinks he’s a chicken daddy. He absolutely loves all the chickens, especially the little ones. He will sit and watch them for hours. I love gardening and sharing Our home grown veggies with my girls. I also love kayaking, fishing, hunting and preserving. I am a college student pursuing a new career in nursing, hopefully, working in pediatric hospice. I am also working on a degree in sign language for interpreting. It’s such a beautiful language! I also hope one day to have some acreage with lots of chickens and other farm animals!! Never too old to have a farm!! My husband, 3 sons, 2 stepdaughters and 7 grandkids are my joy!! I hope I get to see great grandchildren!!
