Chickens freaking out about new coop

A couple of minutes ago we finally got a coop for the chickens but when we put them inside they went absolutely haywire. They are flapping there Wings trying to get out. Anything I can do to calm them down?

Wait until dark.

They will wake up in a strange place much easier than tossing them in and closing the door.

Alright its starting to get dark so we put them back in there, they seem a little more chill now

To a chicken EVERYTHING wants to eat them. When they roost its assumed where they were is safe. You may have to place them inside each night until they get used to it. (Treats inside during the day help)
