I currently have five chickens, four of which are hens and one rooster. They're about two months old and I have just recently moved them into their coop (building got delayed) and they were fine for the first night, but now some of them are freaking out. They were making a lot of noise, so I let them into their run, thinking they just needed some space, but three of them were still freaking out. The calmest one, my Dominique hen, actually flew onto my shoulder and I had to pull her off (she's fine, don't worry), and the other two were still freaking out. One of them actually started to climb the run. The only ones that weren't acting crazy were my rooster and my White Plymouth Rock hen.

I put a night light in the coop, and it helped a little, but they're still making a lot of noise. I figured they could just be stressed out from the move. The breeds I have are a Plymouth Rock, Welsummer (the rooster), Dominique, Buckeye and a Rhode Island Red.

Any ideas on how to help calm them down?

They are in unfamiliar territory, I think the light will help, have you noticed any reason they are afraid, is the coop, too small, too big, are they could at night, mice, rats, they should calm down unless there's really something in the coop.

Sit in there with them, talk softly and give them some treats out of hand.....
....and be very calm yourself, they can feed off human anxiety like any animal can.

Chickens don't like change, but will adapt pretty quickly.
