Chickens from Africa

Hi Everyone, thanks for the greetings!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, my work took me out of town and my wife has been taking care of he chickens. Those new birds are really something! She had to separate them from the wimpy Cornish Crosses because they are so aggressive! She said that a couple of the Cornishes were really getting pecked on and she had kept them together with the African ones she would not have been surprised if we lost them. They are okay now, in a separate enclosure but we hadn't been planning on two separate flocks, so I've got my work cut out putting together a new place for them. Sorry no pictures yet, trouble with my phone. Anyway, these are big birds, growing faster even than Cornishes, and much better foragers, although they really turn the earth over when they scratch. And feisty! I stopped feeding them out of my hand because they peck so hard.
In color, they are developing a spotted reddish-brown and white pattern.
