chickens getting rained on!

It doesn't seem to be leaking. It is made of plywood and does not have any shingles or metal to cover it as of yet. I was wondering if I really needed something to cover it and what the best thing would be. I know that it will weather fairly quickly if I don't cover it.

Plywood is not made to be out in the weather. It will need a good asphalt paper and singles or a single layer of tin. You can try painting it but one little spot missed will soak water like a sponge and you will be rebuilding.

Mine all stand out in the rain. Eat things, flap their wings, I actually think they like it this time of year. Then again it has been so hot and dry here cool and water is a good thing.
