Chickens getting removed

So about 2 years ago all ordinances were ok with chickens then today we got a letter saying someone complained about them and that them and the coop has to be gone in 5 days we have a very Healy flock and they are my pets and I can't imagine living without them does anyone have ideas on what to do with them besides getting rid of them?

What, EXACTLY, do the ordinances say about chickens? Do you have any proof that they were permitted when you got them?

Do the ordinances allow any form of challenge or appeal?

Do you have the order in writing?

I'd talk to a lawyer and determine the legalities involved.

What exactly is the nature of the complaint? Could any of those issues be corrected?
