    [​IMG] from the Finger Lakes of New York. Very sorry to hear about your loss. [​IMG] My money is on the raccoons. We lost several to a family of raccoons. A combination of coop upgrades and traps set for the coons (three were caught) have resulted in no losses for quite some time now. [​IMG] I fully agree with closing the coop at night. Wishing you the best of luck in the future and so glad to have you with us.

    Thank all of you for your responses! I do have a new bunch of chicks and I'll certainly get to work fortifying the pen. I never gave raccoons enough credit, I guess.
