chickens got attacked. need hel for the surviving one

The fact that she is eating is terrific!

I see the spot, it is sizable. I have not stitched up a chicken before but maybe someone with experience can jump in to help? I feel like she could use a bit of a stitching. My hen had a gash 1/3 of that size from a hawk attack and the vet "superglued" it.

Well pepper is doing ok. She is in her cooo and relaxing finally. She ate a small amoit of greek yogurt but didnt toich the cat food. I put the spray stuff on and went back after sinner and put neosporin on and gave her a handfull of grapes and a cricket i found on the way to the coop. She dosent want any veggies but chowed down the grapes. She was out walking her run a little but just to sit by the water amd then went back inside. I have hope for her because the thin layer of skin has dried and she scabbed over already. As long as she stays low stress i think she will be fine. Hubbs wants to get more chickens but i told him we cant till we get pepper healed or they will just kill her. Ill keep you guys posted on my little pepper :)

Ps sorry about bad spelling im on my phone doing all this so i can sit out side waiting for whatever killed salt to come back...ill let you know whats for dinner tomorrow lol

Im happu to report that pepper is doing well. She wanted into the yard this morning to pick for bugs. She does seem to be limping a little but she is trying to put weight on the foot thats bothering her. We put the chicks in the yard with her to keep her company but they all still stay seperate at night and afternoons so she has time to rest. Shes still on chicken watch but eating and moving around. My husband is a sick jerk though. He mentioned her limp and said maybe he pilled a drum stick....he thinks hes funny lol

Just wanted to keep everyone posted that pepper is doing amazing! Her limp is almost gone and she has been walking around and eating lots of yogurt. She dosent care for the cat food but the chicks love it lol. She has givin us 2 eggs since she got attacked and as long as she gets time with the chicks everu day she dosent seem lonely!

Oh and i found the dog that attacked the chickens. He tried getting in the yard again so i put the chickens up and let him in the yard. I called animal control but my neighbor wanted to keep it so the dog is now in a home and not bothering me anymore.
