My neighbor bought 10 chickens. Looked fantastic. No molting .very young and fat , BUT they are coughing or trying to sneeze.
Since I had thousands of chickens. I quarantined them.
I also told her to add lots of hay or put a dry wash cloth size fabrics over the top of the chicken
and under wings to stay warm.I always add a little vicks vapor rub to their neck and under their wing.
(when a chicken sleeps usually they tuck their head under their wing.
Fresh water is the biggest problem, I put a small amount of cough syrup in their water , next time i put honey, next time I add a drink like pedialite ( for humans usually found in baby section) or
orange juice. I give fresh fruits, veggies ( tomato, apple, orange, even lettuce, watermelon anything.
Boil rice add then add Italian spices and small amount of chopped garlic .
Mix i giant Yogurt non flavored any grocery store sells a plain probiotic yogart.
Keep their eyes clean, make sure their nose hole is visible and not sealed. with dirt or boogers.
They are fine in 5-7 days. I do keep them out of sun because their eyes seem to be sensitive for a few more days, Keep their sleep place clean.
