  • OK I need help I have had my chickens less than a year and now all of a sudden they have stopped laying. Since October 23 eggs has went down to where the last week no eggs at all. What should I do? I have 11 chickens and 1 rosters. Please share what you feel I am doing wrong or what I should change. I feed 21% feed since they was 24weeks old and had been getting 6 to 10 eggs per day until this. Thanks for your help, Brian

It's winter there could be a lot of things going on from molting to being to cold, I have 22 chickens and were getting 3 eggs a day, its from molting and the sudden darkness. Your not doing anything wrong its just summers over and winter is coming.

I have added extra lighting in the morning and evening. Do you think this will help? The chickens have moved into my barn, should I move them back to the coop?

I think they need 12-6 hours of light to lay more eggs but when you do this add the hours in the morning if you do it at night when the light turns off you will have stressed chickens becus they can't see very well in the dark
