We noticed today that atleast 1 of our 5 hens have worms:( i did some research & went to the feed store to buy some dewormer. My question is, how long should I not eat their eggs? Then I also read that you should retreat once a mth to make sure the worms are gone.
Anyone else dealt with this? Really bummed to throw away their eggs:(

Treat then retreat 10 days later. Withdrawal time for eggs depends on the wormer. Most are about 3 weeks from last treatment.

Only piprazine is approved in the US, with a listed withdrawal period. It only kills some of the roundworms, and nothing else. Other more effective wormers are all off-label, with no listed withdrawal times. I use Ivermectin and don't eat the eggs for one week; makes me feel better. Mary
