I you are in an HOA, you need to abide by their CC&Rs and rules unless they are less restrictive than city zoning or ordinance, or the HOA documents do not mention poultry. In other words, even if the city allows them, if the HOA does not, you are not allowed to have them.

Our HOA doesn't have CC&R's. Only rules and regs and there is nothing on chickens, but yet they are trying to have us remove them and threatening us with termination of our Membership. What?
So........ I quess I will have to go by the Santa Cruz county ordinanaces.
Still wondering what they are. Did some research, but not real sure about it???
