Chickens in Chesapeake, VA

We are new to chickens and to Chesapeake. We would love to find others in our area who enjoy the hobby of keeping a small flock of pet hens to share information, ideas, and perhaps equipment or chicken-sitting favors. We can't very well board the girls at the kennel to go away for vacation and I would have loved to have someone to share the expense and use of the Brinsea EcoGlow brooder I just bought!

If you would like to meet other chicken folks in your area, post on your state thread. I don't know if anyone would want to share incubator costs etc., you both might want to use at the same time. Get a couple broody prone breeds(cochins or silkies) and you can use them as natural incubators.
