Chickens in Kokomo Indiana city limits

I've been wanting raise some chickens in my backyard. My wife said find out with the court house. I live within the city limits of Kokomo Indiana, Howard County. The court house didn't have an answer to give me, but directed me to the Planning Commission's office. So I gave them a call. They said they don't have any ordinances regarding chickens inside the city limits! woo hoo! So otherwise, the answer was YES! They did have a concern about noise and smell. I told them I wasn't going to have a rooster and will keep everything clean.

Now the real work will begin. I have a big wood pile and part of a compost pile where the coop and run is going to be installed.

I searched the forums regarding having chickens within the city limits of Kokomo, Indiana. There wasn't anything that came up in the search. So I'm a bit confused as to what I'm suppose to do here. Am I to transfer this information to the Indiana thread? I did notice that there are thousands of posts from Indiana area. The latest one was from someone from Lafayette IN. Or is this just information to where I should put my next post from this area?

I just meant you could post your experience in that thread, so it may be helpful to someone else. It was just a suggestion, your previous post was fine.
