Chickens In my flower beds

Good morning all, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to keep my girls from eating my flower beds down to nothing. One person told me battery powered electric fencing but I dont think I could do that to them. I also have 2 little children that I dont want to shock. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks

In addition to the great advice that you are about to recieve about fencing...I would like to reccomend "Free-Range Chicken Gardens: How to Create a Beautiful, Chicken-Friendly Yard". It is a very well written book about how to successfully incorporate both gardening & yardscaping for those people that have poultry. I think that you will enjoy the content and it will give you some very good ideas of how to garden and enjoy poultry at the same time.




I have read the book cover to cover twice; and I would reccomend it to anyone that is trying to work with a flock of backyard free-ranging poultry.

I really dont want to have to limit where my girls are able to roam.
