Hello to all, a friend of mine has had to make the hard decision to re-home several of her birds. She asked me to take them however I live 37 hours away from her. I thought to post here to see if anyone would be interested. She is in the Boring Oregon area. Chickens would need to be picked up she doesn't have a way to transport them. She is looking for good homes that will take care of these birds. She has several roosters, I am unsure of breed. There may be a few hens included. If interested let me know and I can private message you if your serious and give you a way to contact her.

I saw her ad on the Oregon Craigslist! She runs a Rooster Rescue, correct?

I've been contemplating getting a mature, bantam, non-aggressive cochin (or even a silkie) rooster. I would *consider* a pair of silkies, even, so they could have a buddy to ride out their quarantine together.

I didn't contact her yet because it's about 5 hours roundtrip for me (I'm outside of Eugene, Oregon). And I have PTSD from our last rooster, so I'm serious about getting the gentlest rooster of the bunch.

I'll find her on CL, or message me, and we can get more info. You're a nice friend for posting this for her.

Yea that's her! I felt so bad I am unable to help her out. I live in Alabama so I'm way to far away to haul chickens.

I called her, and we talked. She's really sweet, doing a rooster rescue and everything. I was kind of pushing her in the direction of trying to get a non-profit going, so she could get more donations coming in, and continue her rescue. It's really needed. She's got her hands full though. :love Re-homing might be best.

Yeah, Alabama would be a pretty long drive to relocate her roosters! (my son's college roommates/best friends are from Alabama! They call me Ma'am -- it's adorable. He can't understand how hardcore they are about their football though!!!)
