Chickens in New Hampshire

We ordered late and ended up getting 10 Black stars, I would have liked to get some Rhode Island reds but none available for that time frame.
Yes, I heard that people have been having trouble getting order's filled, or even the breed's that they want. I'm already hatching from my own flock, so I don't have to worry about getting more chick's that I want.

Congrats on planning first, THEN getting chicks! Not everyone does it the right way (Okay, I MAY have once or twice gotten irresistible chicks BEFORE a new coop was available.)

The local feed store here has been having some issues with the number and breeds of chicks they can get. I don't know anything about Black Stars, but in my experience, chickens -- regardless of breed -- tend to be incredible creatures who produce eggs and endless entertainment.

Best wishes with your new venture, and welcome to BYC! Folks here will be happy to help you in any way we can!
