I set my eggs the 21st of May.
Yesterday two hatched.
I hope the rest do, but they are being quiet right now.
The two in there were crawling all over the eggs, so today I took them out.
They are in my plexiglass aviary that is 2 x 4 x 6 feet tall.
I put a 100 watt bulb in a lamp and lowered it to about 18 inches off the floor, maybe even less.
The temp right under the bulb is up to 120.
The temp just a foot from the bulb is 90. The chicks are hanging around the edge of the bulb area.
Is this all the correct setup?

I had purchased some 250 watt heat bulbs that were red and it over heated the entire aviary.
I want to get a red bulb, but the store that has them carries 75 and then to 150. I am not sure which wattage would be best.
These are my first chickens and I could use some help.
