Yikes! I'm outside of Lebanon and I imagine it's just as hot. I'm glad I don't have a thermometer in eyesight.

Yeah probably hotter over there! This is the second day of this temp in Philomath...one more to go they say. I think the chickens are sleeping in the garage tonight since we aren't supposed to get below 70. It took forever to round them up today, lol. I was dying by the time I caught all of them.

Pffft!! What do husbands know? You did the right thing! And Dragonfly Ranch has the right thinking there. Total up what your flock cost you, not only in initial purchase price, but add in the feed, time and care it took to get them to this stage, and you have a substantial investment. Then ask your husband if he's that fond of store bought eggs!! * evil snicker*

Lol actually he was quite impressed with my work of setting up the garage (after I told him how I did it) and cleaning it completely tonight before he even got home. He couldn't even tell there were chickens in there

It was a huge mess to clean, lol but worth it none the less...plus the garage is spic and span now!
