I hope I find out if the family gets to keep their eight hens (they are in my state but not in my town).
I can't figure out why any politician would want to be associated with taking away anything beneficial to a special needs kids.
The report mentioned that the town ordinance already allows bantam chickens, so granting one exception for eight full sized hens hardly seems unreasonable.
