Chickens in the Rain?

I put a sprinkler on during really hot days and they have a wading pool to cool off in. My birds will stay out in the rain. They love it unless it it really raining hard then they will go into their run, which is covered or into their coop.

they will be fine. Mine are in a tractor. They do not free range at all because of our dog. Mine stayed out all day in the rain.

During the winter my girls run around and try to eat all the little snowflakes that manage to get into the run

we just lost some 9 week old chicks this morning. The covered run had 2 very small puddles in it and the chicks were sitting in the puddles. They were not even in the rain.......I guess they got chilled and just sat there. The others were in under the heat lamp.

That heat lamp needed to be turned off weeks ago.​
