I've had backyardchickens for 5 years & I have a flock of 9 chickens currently. I've had lots of good and bad experiences but overall, love having the chickens not just for eggs, but because they're fun little characters. I found this community last spring when one of my new chicks had a problem - thought she was a goner, but nope, she is happy and healthy now and will hopefully lay her first egg in the next week or so! look forward to talking chicken talk with you all
