My cabinet hatcher I got with my Leahy is actually a home built... ugly as sin, but keeps perfect temp and humidity without fail...
Like Sidewing's Frankenbator...
I was about to build a cooler hatcher when this Brinsea came along.

If you want to start a thread, I'll follow... is a pain to start threads using this app... and I'm horrible with electronics, but I understand the why's and how's behind all the rest, lol...

I hope others chime in, but honestly I don't think it's a problem. I have messed with my incubator and had humidity all over the place and had over 85% hatch rate. I think it's fine as long as it averages what works for your climate and altitude. I'm going to try it in Frankenbator next time I think.Someone on my local thread has a dickys 2x2 and he loves it. He told me he uses it for staggerd hatchs too, just moving those to hatch down to the hatching section. I asked how he solved the humidity problem, and he says he didnt have to., he runs at 50% regularly... Whats your take on this? Anyone at all please? I tried to just be polite and brush it off, but it came up as i was discussing buying another bator as a hatcher for my spring hatchs... Cuz somehow setting 50 eggs isnt enough?!![]()
my brother has dickys 2x2 and says humidity is never a problem
