Chickens inside the Beltway

In the last few years, I have been introducing simplicities to our lives - baking fresh breads, preparing locally-sourced proteins, and growing herbs and vine produce.

As a family, we consume approximately three eggs per day, including breakfasts and as ingredients in other dishes. I’m thinking we could have about four or five chickens. Within certain limitations, we are permitted to raise chickens in Bethesda MD. I want to know more.

You will learn a lot.
Then when you are ready, select your site and build a predator proof coop and run per your local ordinance. Go as big as you can. Then select the right breed(s) for you.
