Chickens laying eggs on the poop board

I am new to chickens this year. I have 12 girls and 2 of them (ISAs) are laying. They jump up and lay their eggs on the poop board even though they have 4 lovely nesting boxes right below them! (The top of the nesting boxes is their poop board). We have tried golf balls, putting their eggs in it and I have moved them to the boxes when I see them on top. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I just think it's a little gross...

I would also like to know that since these 2 are laying on the poop board, will they all do it if I can't change their behavior????

I am having the same kind of problem, I have nest box for my pullets and they choose to lay across the room on a wide windowsill that they also use to roost on. Once in a while one will find the nest but not usually.

so you are saying there is no hope! lol

i might try modifying the poop board in some way to make it angled so the can't perch on it, see if that would encourage them to use the boxes.
