chickens making noise when they lay eggs

Hi I am new at raising chickens and they last few days the chickens have been making a lot of noise late in the morning. I thought that it was my dog harassing my girls but I dont think that's it. They are silkies if that helps.

Chickens will often have an "egg song" for when they lay their eggs. It can be quite noisy! In my experience, young chickens who have just started laying are often the noisiest. They may quiet down as they mature. Good luck!
