Chickens Meet Spaghetti Squash. Or how to keep your chickens busy

Great idea for the squash! I've been trying assorted veggies for the girls but I haven't tried squash yet. I'm going to go out and give them a cabbage to keep them from being bored--they'll be in the coop the next couple of days because it's about -13 right now (about -30 with the wind chill). We aren't expected to get above 0 until Monday. Brrrr.

What an incredibly timely post for me! I had a spaghetti squash sitting on the counter and it must have rolled off. The dogs got at it and tore it apart some. They're fine, the squash is no longer something I'm going to cook for my family. So instead of throwing it in the composter I will throw it in the coop to my poor girls who are sick of snow and being "cooped up"!

Oh, they will LOVE It. Today, one if them is broken in two. It snowed last night, so I threw them in the coop to give the girls something to do while they wait to get let out.
