Chickens MELT?

I took my chickies outside in the warm sun today. It was their first time out as a group.

No one told me that they MELT!

A couple of steps out into the sun and their little legs collapse out from under them.

Anyone else have this problem with their chicks?

Are you sure they aren't sunning them selves? We were at a swap this past weekend, and some people thought out chickens were dying right infront of them. We had to explain that chickens love the sun, and like people will flop down on the ground and make themselves as big as they can to get as much sun as they can. They then roll over to the other side to do the same thing. It's kinda like having a bunch of sun bathers.

No, that's a definite melted chicken right there. If she were sunbathing, you'd see the SPF cream on her feathers...

Totally melted. Nothing funnier than a chicken that melts mid-step.

Now all you need is a little BBQ sauce or lemon butter and they would be all set.
