Chickens Near Me?

Living in a small, rural town it's hard to find chicken breeds I want. I was wodering if anyone knew of any hatcheries/farms that sell chicks/chickens near me? I live in Cleveland, Tx, near Houston and I want to find a farm that sells what I want within an hour or so of me.

Ideal is 2 1/2 hours away and hatching/shipping today.

ETA I know you said an hour but if they shipped them it should be cheap and fast, or you can just take a road trip

I've already looked into Ideal and got certain reasons its not an option.

What breeds are you looking for?

Sometimes the only way to find the smaller places is via Facebook.

I've gotten Facebook twice, and both times facebook has kicked me off and deleted my account. And I'm looking for the rarer breeds I can't find- Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbars. I really want a colorful egg basket. And Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.

Have you looked on Craigslist? I do see Marans on there near you as well as a couple of hatcheries.

I'll try. I have looked on there for Silkies for a friend not too long ago and I found some good stuff.
