Chickens not laying in the summer.

My chickens are not laying while the chickens that a couple friends have from the same batch of chicks have been laying for several weeks. the chickens have access to Purina layer and clean water at all times. There is only one rooster in a group of 24 hens and I am only getting 3-4 eggs a day. Any suggestions?

How many nest boxes , and are they free range ? If not enough nest boxes , they will lay in the brush
