I have three 8-9month old Golden Comets, (scarborough maine) they've been laying regularly every day. Suddenly, three days in a row, NO EGGS! The light hours couldn't have changed that much for them to start dormancy. No predators, they're healthy and eating well. No sign of them eating their own eggs. Any suggestions?

How is the weather where you live? Could there be stress from that? Have you noticed any dropped feathers? They could be heading into molt, during which most hens do not lay.
i wondered about molting, but no feathers, weather has been august in maine -- it was hot then very grey and damp and now beautiful and breezy/sunny in the 70s. I'd be fine with one or even two not laying, but all three at once? The Red Tent of Chickens?:hmm

We are having the same issue with our chickens. We have 6, and were getting at least 3 eggs per day. None for the last week or two. We did see some feathers, so maybe they are molting. How long does the molting last, and when would they start laying again?

One of my flocks (12 hens) has completely stopped for the last 2 weeks. All are molting.
Another two flocks are still laying fairly well but I expect that to end soon.
Laying won't resume till feathers are regrown and perhaps not till after winter solstice.
If you want to force it, after they have regrown a new winter coat, you can slowly increase day length by adding a light on a timer.
