Hello there,
I seriously need help. I have a variety of hens, different ages. About 4 months ago, the older hens where producing eggs like crazy. then all of the sudden everything stopped.
I though it was due to the florida intensive heat (in previous years the hens had stopped laying for a couple of months, but then things would go back to normal), but this year seems like it is taking longer than previous years.
The coop is clean, we have fresh hay in the nest area and coop area so they have a place to escape from the heat. They have plenty of fresh clean water and they even free range a few days a week.
I have not changed their food, so I can't imagine it is due to different kind of food nutrients. I have even separated the rooster from the hen, thinking that the rooster might have been stressing the hens out, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

As you can tell, I have tried all, and we are still yet to see an egg. We have checked the yard to see if they are laying in the bushes when they are out, but nothing is happening. It has been now 3 months that we have not seen an egg. Oh, and I forgot to mention, they are Not molting.
Please help!

I have some that are over 3 years old and some that are 1 year old. None of them are laying :(

Some may be getting ready to molt now.......but
Free range birds sometimes need to be 'trained'(or re-trained) to lay in the coop nests, especially new layers. Leaving them locked in the coop for a week or so can help 'home' them to lay in the coop nests. Fake eggs/golf balls in the nests can help 'show' them were to lay. They can be confined to coop and maybe run 24/7 for a few days to a week, provided you have adequate space and ventilation, or confine them at least until mid to late afternoon. You help them create a new habit and they will usually stick with it. ..at least for a good while, then repeat as necessary.
