Welcome to BYC!

Chickens past a couple years in age don't lay as many eggs as young chickens do. I have pets that are older than that, and they still lay some, but they aren't good for production.

Chickens that are stressed from a move may stop laying for a little while before restarting.

Chickens that are molting stop laying until they are done molting. Molting is generally done in autumn, though they may molt at other times, sometimes due to stress.

Your hens may be laying in secret nests elsewhere. I have a lot of hens that lay in hidden places, like in boxes and behind hay bales.

Don't give up on then yet!

Best of luck!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

X2 when chickens are moved or something else in their life and daily schedule changes, it causes stress which makes them stop laying. Give them a couple weeks to get settled and they'll return to laying. Make sure they know where the nests are too
