Chickens not Roosting

We have four chickens They are 4 months old.. Two brahma's and two black sex links. They don't roost at all and sleep in one side of the coop that has nest boxes. The other side with nest boxes, also, they don't touch. I am thinking they will lay eggs in them. is it normal for some chickens to not roost?

Yes, it is very usual for younger chickens not to know what to do. Start with low roosts, cover up the entrances to the nest boxes at night, offer branches in their run for them to practice on and make sure they can easily get to and balance on the perches they have.
