Chickens on backs?

Is it a common thing for chickens (7 weeks) to fly up to sit on your back/ shoulders? Every time I’m near them at least one sometimes all 4 end up on my shoulders and seem to not want to get off. I mean I love it! Do they continue to do this as they age? Or just a chick thing?

No, it's not just a chick thing. The other day one of my hen's flew up unto my shoulder. I petted her back a little bit, and then she flew back down.

I’m glad to hear that! Although I bet it will feel a little different once they put on a few more pounds

It will, and it can be dangerous to the eyes.
I don't allow it, when they jump up knock them off.
