    was awake way to early but i caught this story on CBC

    They are talking about the treatment of hens in battery cages vs. free range ect...

    and also touch on the subject of the bill#2 i think it was called that just past in CA.

    Yes that is an interesting link. I think if anythng the cost difference was probably understated, especially in areas like BC where land has gotten so expensive, doubling, tripling, quadrupling, or more the ground the hens use is going to cost. Not that I am not for it anyway, but here in Washington state I pay over 6 dollars a dozen, about double, for the free range eggs I buy. I can hardly wait for my girls to start laying.

    Of course I'm in an expensive food area also, and everything here is definitely on the high side.
