Chickens on the porch...!?!? Pic added.

I have the same problem, only the walk into my house when someone leaves the back door open.
I have a fenced in yard and they free range all day.
My kids go out the kitchen door, that leads to the back yard and don't always shut it.
I found a rooster in my living room sitting on my coffee table watching tv.
I have had them stand in the kitchen and refuse to be shooed away and they are always in the carriage house.
I was trying to clean it out today and let some fresh air in there while I worked and they kept coming in and I had to keep throwing them out.
They do make themselves right at home don't they?

My chickens tend to hang on the porch or grill (oddly enough) and all i can figure to do is to hose the deck and grill off with the pressure nozzle. works like a charm but i always have at least one dirty doo on the porch.

I had to fence my birds in too. They were trearing up my gardens and spreading my mulch pile all over. I got tired of constantly raking up my mulch pile and replanting my gardens. I tried spraying them with my garden sprayer or sometime put the sprinklers on. They would run out, but when the sprinklers were off they would venture in again. The temptation. They have a nice large fenced in area. I leave the pop door open 24/7 as well as the run gate so they can go in and out of their yard at will. So far I haven't had any problems with preditors. They get treats every day, and they are healthy.

They are looking for you! You must be around with treats hopefully. Mine come up to the glass and actually peck it to get some attention.

The funny thing is that I always give them treats right by their coop. Today I opened the door to see if they would come in and they all just looked at me like "What are YOU doing here?"
