chickens on the roost

i just moved my chicks from the brooder box to thier coop they are between 9 and 10 weeks old i think cant exactly remember. how long before they start using the roost? do i need to build a ramp? they can jump higher than the roosts are.

For the first week I had go in at night and put mine on the roost every night but they did learn quickly they need to be on the roost.

I would do it for a week and then check and see if they get on it themselves.
