Chickens or cockerels

Hi I have just been given these chickens and I was told that they were hens I know for sure my lavender is a cockerel on account of the attempted crowing I have had them 5 weeks I have been told that they are light Sussex. Any input would be greatly welcomed thank you.

quite attached to these little guys and we have plenty of room so i need to source some definite females

Nice looking flock! Good luck with your decision of what to do with the extra boy.....I highly recommend getting more Pullets and rehoming one of the cockerels.
